1935 Mercedes-Benz 150 - Derived from the previously released 130 model(W23), 1935 Mercedes-Benz 150 sporty roadster was fitted with a larger 1.5 L petrol unit with a power output of 55 hp that drove the car to a higher top speed of 77.7 mph (125 kmh). Due to its styling and rear-placed engine, the gas tank had to be moved in the front compartment above the axle leaving no room for luggage. Although not particularly practical, 1935 Mercedes-Benz 150 was much more balanced than the typ 130 with the gas tank acting as a counterweight for the bulky engine. Minutely styled, the car had almost sensual lines with a cone-like rear engine chamber with gills and a flowing front end adorned with wide wheel-arches and flashy chrome grille. However, beauty seems to have been 1935 Mercedes-Benz 150 main strength which was not enough to keep the typ 150 among buyer's favorites. 1935 Mercedes-Benz 150 ceased production in 1936.
Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG DR 520 (2011)
Harnodi | Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG DR 520 (2011) | Mercedes-Benz revealed the C-Class DR 520, a new limited edition which will be sold exclusively by company’s Specialist Products division at Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands, Surrey.
The German manufacturer says it is its most powerful C-Class, because it is based on the C 63 AMG and carries a performance package capable to boost its power output to 520 hp and 650 Nm of torque, from 460 hp and 600 Nm delivered by the standard vehicle. With these numbers, the car can hit 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds while the estate version needs 4.2 seconds.
Based on the high-performance C 63 AMG, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class DR 520 has a performance upgrade and boasts 520 hp and 650 Nm of torque, a 60 hp and 50 Nm advantage over than the standard C 63 AMG. The DR 520 Saloon can reach 0-62 mph in just 4.1 seconds with the Estate achieving the same in 4.2 seconds, and both are electronically limited to a top speed of 187 mph.
The AMG Performance Pack Plus is fitted to the DR 520 as standard and features AMG’s high-performance braking system with red calipers, with the addition of engine upgrades in the form of forged pistons, newly-developed connecting rods and a revised crankshaft, as well as an AMG Carbon Fibre rear spoiler for the Saloon.
Available with a black or white matt wrap and complimented by Titanium finish alloy wheels, grille and discreet DR 520 badging on the wing and the boot lid, the DR 520 combines stealthy looks with potent performance.
Inside, the sports seats are upholstered in leather and exclusive Alcantara finished with red or white contrast stitching, as is the dashboard and upper door panels. The multi-function AMG Performance steering wheel is clad in Nappa leather and Alcantara.
The DR 520 costs £9,995 above the standard C 63 AMG price, making the DR 520 Saloon £62,430 OTR and the Estate £63,680 OTR. The cars are also backed by a three-year, 60,000 mileage warranty.

2011 Mercedes-Benz CL63, CL65 AMG Twin-Turbo Temptresses
Gone is the naturally aspirated 6.3 6.2-liter AMG V8 in favor of a smaller and more powerful 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged mill. In base form, this V8 cranks out 536 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque (increases of 18 and 125, respectively), and with the optional AMG Performance Package, these numbers increase to an even more robust 563 hp and 664 lb-ft. Sweet stuff, and when matched with Mercedes' AMG Speedshift seven-speed automatic, 0-60 runs will take just 4.4 seconds (4.3 if you opt for the more powerful setup). What's most impressive, though, is that even with this added power boost, fuel consumption has been reduced by 27 percent. The range-topping CL65 AMG will carry over its 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, though Mercedes has managed to coax an additional 17 horsepower from it for 2011. Output for the CL65 is now rated at 621 horses and 738 lb-ft of torque.
Official pricing hasn't been released yet, but expect MSRPs to increase slightly over the 2010 models ($145,200 for the CL63 and $207,170 for the CL65). Shoppers in that tax bracket shouldn't have any trouble shelling out a few grand extra for the latest in CL-Class exclusivity.
